Software Advisory Notice

Dear Cisco Customer,

Cisco engineering has identified the following software caveats with the release that you have selected that may affect your use of this software. Please review the Software Advisory notice here to determine if the issues apply to your environment. You may proceed to download this software if you have no concerns with the issue described.

Reason for Advisory

This software advisory addresses the following issues in Cisco UCS Manager, Release 3.1(1e):

·         Release 3.1(1e) does not support VM-FEX deployments with ESXi. For additional information, see CSCux68195 in the Open Caveats list in Release Notes for Cisco UCS Manager, Release 3.1(1e).

·         Release 3.1(1e), Cisco UCS Manager does not support the following third party adapters on Blade Servers:

o   N20-AQ0102

o   N20-AE0102

o   UCSB-MEZ-ELX-03

o   UCSB-MEZ-QLG-03

·         After upgrading a UCS Mini to version 3.1(1e) do not change the input voltage from highline (200 – 240 VAC) to lowline (100 – 120 VAC).  The power supply output will change from 2500W to 1300W but UCS Manager will not correctly register the change and the power budgeting will not be correct.  The exact effect will depend on the number and configuration of installed blades and power supplies but it is possible that Grid or Power Supply redundancy will not operate correctly.

Important Upgrade Guidelines

From release 3.1(1e), Cisco UCS Manager does not support hardware listed in the Deprecated Hardware table. Before upgrading Cisco UCS Manager to release 3.1(1e) you must remove these deprecated hardware from your UCS domain.
