The following enhanced features will be available in the Returns Tool (see Figure 2):
- New Serial Number search key for items to be returned, in addition to purchase order, sales order, and online order numbers.
- Ability to return maintenance (M)-type and pending (P)-type service lines. Service can be returned without returning the related product.
- New return reason codes:
- Customer/Partner Over Order—Customer overordered wrong item/quantity; no offsetting order placed.
- Partner Sales Error—Partner account manager quoted wrong item/quantity.
- Ability to view product and linked service plan associations. Products or services associated with other orders will also be displayed.
- Access to Cisco Product Identification Tool to help you locate the serial number label on Cisco products.
- Search Results page that displays valid serial numbers for specified products and services. If you choose to return an entire order, serial number info will be automatically populated. For partial returns, users are prompted to provide applicable serial numbers.
- Split-line display to help ensure that linked product and service quantities match.
- Ability to choose “ship from” country for certain types of return requests.
- New link to the Status Tool home page through the awaiting authorization (AA) number.
- Return All Eligible Items button (formerly Return Whole Order button).
