Verifying the Authentication URL
Before You Begin
Each Cisco Unified IP Phone must point its authentication URL to the default location of its Cisco Unified Communications Manager publisher server. The default authentication URL is http:\\cluster-publisher-address:8080\ccmcip\authenticate.jsp, where cluster-publisher-address is the IP address or FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager publisher.
The Authentication URL is set by default during Cisco Unified Communications Manager installation. If you have a Cisco Unified Communications Manager cluster, verify that the Authentication URL is pointing to the publisher server address.
Procedure
Step 1 Select Cisco Unified CM Administration > System > Enterprise Parameters > Phone URL Parameters > URL Authentication.
Step 2 Verify that the authentication URL points to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager publisher.
Tip You can verify the authentication URL on a Cisco Unified IP phone by pressing Settings > Device Configuration > HTTP Configuration > Authentication URL.
