Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® IP/TV® 3426 Broadcast Server. The last day to order this Cisco IP/TV Family product is July 21, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until July 21, 2010
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco IP/TV 3426 Broadcast Server. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the new Cisco IP/TV 3442 Broadcast Server, which offers the latest in hardware component upgrades,performance, and support for the latest IP/TV 5.2 software. Information about the replacement products can be found at http://cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/contnetw/index.html. Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating from the end-of-life productto the Cisco IP/TV 3442 Broadcast Server.

PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS
The recommended replacement for Cisco IP/TV 3426 Broadcast Server is the Cisco IP/TV 3442 Broadcast Server (Table 3). The replacement product is built with the latest hardware components and uses the latest release of Cisco IP/TV software, version 5.2 or later. The Cisco IP/TV 3442 Broadcast Server is already available for customer orders.
