Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) Mobile Products. The last day to order the affected product(s) is February 28, 2014. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available under the terms and conditions of customers' service contract.
Cisco is integrating WAN optimization directly into the Cisco AnyConnect Mobile Security Solution. Cisco is a global market leader in providing network switching, routing, and security solutions for organizations and enterprises of all sizes. A key growth area for Cisco is in supporting and enabling mobility solutions, including those for the rapidly emerging markets in smartphone and tablet computing. These add to the existing mobile landscape of laptop and netbook computers and bring additional challenges and rewards.
Cisco recognizes that application and network security, performance, and reliability are critical to the success of any customer regardless of size and that it is essential to deliver solutions that meet the customer's requirements and desires. The tremendous adoption rates of mobile computing platforms have opened a massive growth opportunity to deliver industry-leading security and performance solutions to the mobile enterprise using the Cisco AnyConnect platform.
Early field trials (EFTs) of the new AnyConnect platform with integrated WAN optimization have been scheduled. Interested customers are encouraged to contact their account team or partner for further information.

Cisco AnyConnect Mobile Optimization is planned for release in the first part of 2014, with beta testing to begin in late 2013. For further information about Cisco AnyConnect, please contact your Cisco account manager or Cisco partner.

Customers may be able to use the Cisco Technology Migration Program (TMP) where applicable to trade-in eligible products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment. Customers may be able to continue to purchase Cisco Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) Mobile Products through the Cisco Certified Refurbished Equipment program.
