Cisco CMM is the next generation of voice gateways and services module for Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches and Cisco 7600 Series Routers. Cisco CMM is a modular line card that provides greater flexibility, higher performance, and more density in a single Cisco Catalyst 6500 slot. Cisco CMM can operate in Cisco Catalyst operating systems, hybrid, and native modes and works with all Cisco Catalyst 6500 supervisor modules. In addition to Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) signaling with Cisco CallManager, Cisco CMM also supports additional signaling protocols such as H.323 and SIP*.
