Cisco® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3(7)XI on the Cisco 10008 Router. The last day to order the affected product(s) is November 20, 2008. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available until the termination date of the contract, even if this date exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in Table 1.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(31)SB, which includes new features for the Cisco 10008 Router, including high availability and many other enhancements. Information about the replacement product can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps133/index.html. Table 2 provides relevant information for migrating to the replacement product.

Product Migration Options
All customers should migrate to Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(31)SB10 or later. The recommended replacement for the Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3(7)XI on the Cisco 10008 Router is Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(31)SB10 on the Cisco 10008 Router. The new Cisco IOS Software offers compatibility with the existing software and many new features, including high availability with stateful switchover (SSO) and in-service software upgrade (ISSU). The Service Selection Gateway (SSG) feature set in 12.3(7)XI is replaced by the comparable Intelligent Service Gateway (ISG) feature set in 12.2(31)SB10.
