For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available until the termination date of the contract, even if this date exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in Table 1.
In a previous announcement dated April 17, 2006, Cisco completed the first end-of-sale and end-of-life announcement (EOL1094) for Select Cisco Catalyst 2950G and Catalyst 2950T Series Switches. This EoS and EoL announcement (EOL5850) is specific to five additional models of Cisco Catalyst 2950 Series Switches.
Not affected by this or any previous end-of-sale and end-of-life announcement is the Cisco Catalyst 2950G 24 EI DC Switch (WS-C2950G-24-EI-DC).
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series Switches. The Catalyst 2960 Series Switches with the enhanced Layer 2+ LAN Base software enable intelligent LAN services by providing enhanced security, QoS, and availability for new converged applications. The Catalyst 2960 Series Switches with the standard Layer 2 LAN Lite software simplify the migration from unmanaged and nonintelligent devices to a reliable and scalable managed network by providing entry-level security, QoS, and availability with a focus on ease of use to lower the network total cost of ownership.
