Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® MeetingPlace PCI platform, telephony blades and associated software releases. The MeetingPlace PCI hardware platform was End-of-Sale with the transition of Latitude Communications to Cisco Systems on January 12th, 2004. The last day to order the Cisco MeetingPlace PCI telephony blades is December 1, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for the PCI hardware platform and telephony blades until December 1, 2010.
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco MeetingPlace PCI platform and telephony blades. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco MeetingPlace 8106 or 8112 platform, which provides scalability, enhanced features such as reservationless meetings, redundant power supplies and hard disks, plus built in 2700 hours of voice recording.
