Product Overview
The Cisco
® POES5 5-Volt Power over Ethernet Splitter (Figure 1) lets you put your Cisco Small Business IP Phones almost anywhere, by removing the requirement for a nearby power outlet. The POES5 sends power and voice over IP (VoIP) over one Category 5 cable to your Cisco phone. When it's time to add or relocate a phone, the POES5 can simplify your installation.
The Cisco POES5 provides an 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) port for connection to a PoE switch. The compact POES5 connects to the standard DC power input and RJ-45 Ethernet port on the Cisco IP phone (or other supported Cisco Small Business VoIP product) via two "split" cables. The POES5 can then be tucked away and concealed in the stand attached to the Cisco Small Business IP Phone.
Simplify your installation and place your Cisco Small Business IP Phones, or any of the other supported Cisco Small Business VoIP products, in a preferred spot with the Cisco POES5 5-Volt Power over Ethernet Splitter.
