When accessing the Cisco Unity® server through Cisco® Personal Communications Assistant or through the system administrative pages from any server other than the Cisco Unity server itself and that server is not localized to the same language as the Cisco Unity server, garbled characters may be displayed. This problem is a known one with the Japanese localizations, double-byte character localizations, and potentially other mismatched localizations. It is not a bug; this behavior between the Cisco Unity server and the remote server accessing it is expected. The workaround is to localize the remote or client server to the same language as the Cisco Unity server.
