Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the CiscoWorks VPN/Security Management Solution 2.3. The last day to order the CiscoWorks VPN/Security Management Solution 2.3 is November 19, 2007. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the CiscoWorks VPN/Security Management Solution 2.3. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
This announcement applies to all CiscoWorks VPN/Security Management Solution (VMS) license types: Unrestricted, Restricted, and Basic. VMS Basic cannot be ordered directly, but instead is included with other orderable products such as certain Cisco network devices. VMS Basic will no longer be included in such bundles as of the end-of-sale date noted below.

There are no further CiscoWorks VPN/Security Management Solution (VMS) releases planned beyond the 2.3 release. Customers are encouraged to migrate to the replacement product/application available for specific VMS applications as identified in Table 3.Discounted part numbers are available for customers migrating from VMS to Cisco Security Manager. Refer to the Cisco Security Manager product bulletin for details.
