Cisco 2500 Series Access Servers provide a variety of access solutions for both small office and remote site environments. In addition to delivering faster and more robust service, this new generation of servers also includes a number of high-performance features and runs on the same optimized Cisco Internetworking Operating System (IOS) software that serves as the backbone of the Internet.

Cisco 2500 Series Access Servers enable businesses to connect asynchronous devices—such as terminals, modems, router consoles, slot machines, and Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) terminal adapters (TAs)—into a routed network.

The Cisco 2509 Access Server provides Ethernet LAN connections, enabling up to eight users to dial in simultaneously. The Cisco 2511 Access Server provides Ethernet LAN connections, enabling up to 16 simultaneous asynchronous connections.
