The ONS 15305 integrates the functions of an SDH Add/Drop Multiplexer and L2 switch fabric to combine TDM (E1, E3/T3, STM-1, STM-4, STM-16) and Ethernet (10/100BaseT, GigE) services in an SDH link up to 2,5 Gbps. It implements a full non-blocking 64x64 Cross-Connect Matrix with VC-12 / VC-3 and VC-4 granularity, and has 4 slots for service modules to support various combinations of traffic.
