Cisco 1600R Series Routers to
Offer Limited Cisco IOS Support
Fewer Cisco IOS features sets to be supported in Version 12.3 Mainline; no Cisco IOS feature sets to be supported in Version 12.3T or later releases.
The end of sale (EOS) for the Cisco 1600R Series routers will be effective in February 2003. Therefore, the need to provide newer features and support all Cisco IOS® feature sets created for the Cisco 1600R Series routers is reduced.
In accordance with standard Cisco support policy, the number of new Cisco IOS 1600R Series Router feature sets supported and available for purchase via price lists and download via Cisco.com will be reduced beginning with Cisco IOS Release 12.3 Mainline. As of Cisco IOS Release 12.3T, no new feature sets for the Cisco 1600R Series routers will be supported, nor will they be available (refer to Tables 1 and 2 for availability information).
