Product Overview
The Cisco® 830 Series of secure broadband routers provides advanced security for data, voice, and video access and is ideal for small offices and teleworkers. Table 1 describes the Cisco 830 Series routers.
New Features
Cisco Systems® has upgraded the default DRAM memory configuration from 32 MB to 48 MB. The additional DRAM helps ensure that Cisco 830 Series access routers will be able to support new versions of Cisco IOS Software that deliver more powerful IP services. The memory addition to the Cisco 830 Series allows customers, resellers, and service providers to benefit from the greater capabilities that Cisco IOS Software offers today and in the future. Investment protection is also increased because the risk of service calls to upgrade the memory is reduced.
