Cisco 6200 Series DSLAMOverview
The Cisco 6200 Series Digital Subscriber Line access concentrator (DSLAM) is discontinued effective immediately. Customers are encouraged to purchase the Cisco 6260 IP DSL Switch platform for continuing digital subscriber line (DSL) rollouts.End of Sale and End of Life Announcements
This document contains the following information:•
Official notification of discontinuation of Cisco 6200.
•
Official notification that the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) stopped providing support on December 31, 2000.
•
Official notification that engineering support of software and hardware was completed on December 31, 2000.
•
Last scheduled maintenance for the Cisco 6200 was released in April 2000.
EoL for Cisco 6200
No orders for new, upgrade, or replacement sales for Cisco 6200 will be accepted. The following parts are affected:•
Cisco 6200 chassis
•
Cisco 6200 power entry modules (PEMs)
•
Line cards (SLC-1-8DMT and SLC-1-8CAP)
•
Network cards (NTC-1OC3-SM and NTC-1OC3-MM)
•
Cable or other accessories, spares, or customer documentation
The Cisco 6200 will not be used in customer demos, customer displays, or any other forms of marketing and advertising including internal and external Web pages.
End of Maintenance and End of Cisco TAC Support
All Cisco TAC support activities ended December 31, 2000. Customers using Cisco 6200 have been informed about the alternatives to the Cisco 6200 units in their networks.
