The Cisco® SFS 7008P InfiniBand Server Switch provides a new class of data center infrastructure that interconnects discreet server resources together into a high-performance 10 Gbps, low-latency fabric. The Cisco SFS 7008P provides 96 InfiniBand 10-Gbps 4X ports for server and interswitch connectivity and a director-class platform designed with best-in-class reliability, high availability, and serviceability.

The Cisco SFS 7008P provides:

• Up to 96 InfiniBand 10-Gbps 4X ports for server and interswitch connectivity
• Nonblocking cross-sectional bandwidth with low port-to-port latency
• Command-line interface (CLI), Web, and Java-based systems management options
• Powered ports to enable flexible copper and optical interface configurations

The Cisco SFS 7008P offers the resiliency, security, and control required for high-performance and utility computing. When combined with Cisco SFS 3000 Series multifabric server switches, the Cisco SFS 7008P facilitates shared pools of I/O resources that can be mapped together by Cisco VFrame Server Fabric Virtualization Software to deliver virtual "compute services."
