Problem

All Nortel Meridian 1 switches can have a maximum of 30 members in a hunt group, which means you can have only 30 ports on the Cisco MeetingPlace server accessible at any one time.

Solution

Follow these instructions for a workaround:

  1. Create a hunt group with a pilot directory number (DN) (your main access number for calling in).

  2. Have each TN hunt to the next telephone number (TN) using the HUNT prompt in Load (LD) 10.

  3. When you get to the 29th member, have it hunt to a "phantom" Automatic Call Distribution Number (ACDN).

  4. In LD 23, assign this ACDN a maximum number of ACD agent positions (MAXP) of 1 and Night Call Forward Destination (NCFW) to the DN of member 30 of your group.

  5. Now you can assign hunt numbers in LD 10 for the next 29 members. Repeat the process for all members of the group.
