Introduction

The procedure in this document shows how to remove the Join Web Conference button from the Current Meeting page in Cisco MeetingPlace Web. Without this button, users can not launch the Meeting Room.

How to Hide the Join Web Conference Button

Use this procedure to hide the Join Web Conference button:

Note: Before you begin, contact Cisco Technical Support to obtain a new 0-license Option Key string (see Step 6).

  1. Launch the Cisco MeetingTime application.

  2. Click the Configure tab.

  3. In the System Configuration area, select System Options and click Query.

  4. Click the Right Arrow button (>) until Data Conference Option appears.

  5. In the Number of licenses field, enter 0.

  6. Enter the correct Option Key associated with this 0-license value.

  7. Restart the Cisco MeetingPlace Server.

  8. Download the TN00174.zip file from Cisco Technical Support, onto the Cisco MeetingPlace Web Server.

  9. Extract the HideJWCButton.reg file from that ZIP file.

  10. Double-click the REG file and click Yes to install the new registry information.

  11. Restart the MeetingPlace Web services.
