Paul Jones leads Cisco's efforts on industry-specific solution architectures. In this role, he addresses the complex business issues of today's retail and financial environments with innovative solutions and technologies. Previously, he worked as a systems engineer developing solutions for some of Cisco's largest retail, high tech, and government accounts. Prior to joining Cisco, Jones spent 4 years in IT engineering and operations management, and 8 years in systems and network engineering for several large enterprises. His retail experience includes working in restaurant, automotive, and warehouse club retailers. Jones has published a number of papers on retail solutions and architectures. He also represents Cisco at National Retail Federation Association for Retail Technology Standards meetings and has served as a technology expert and panelist at various industry events. Jones holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration, a bachelor of arts degree in management, and has earned technical certifications from Novell, Microsoft, and Cisco.
