Cisco Access products are a family of IP to circuit-switched gateways. These Voice over IP gateways use reliable, manageable Cisco IOS technology to connect IP telephony systems to existing switches or analog devices using a wide variety of plug-in interfaces. The flexible configuration allows them to work with interfaces from simple analog connections to Digital T1 and E1 voice trunks. IOS technology provides Cisco standard Command Line Interface for management, while the hardware design is based on reliable Cisco router technology. They also provide an economical alternative to integrated router based VoIP gateways when routing functions are not needed.
