Thousands of enterprises use Cisco solutions to integrate SNA and TCP/IP. Those same technologies have been extended to enable voice and video integration. Voice traffic is similar to SNA traffic in several ways. Both require minimal transit delay in a network. Neither can be consolidated with other traffic unless quality of service can be maintained. Internal Cisco testing has demonstrated how SNA, TCP/IP, and voice can be consolidated onto a single backbone without compromising service levels.
