Managed Services - Master

Best in Class Managed Services Provider

The Cisco® Managed Services Master certification is for partners who sell and deliver Cisco based managed services through a premium network operations center (NOC) investment and offer enhanced management and stewardship practices. Cisco Managed Services Master Partners have established managed service ITIL® processes, practices, and tools in place to support Cisco advanced technologies at all phases of the lifecycle—prepare, plan, design, implement, operate, and optimize.

The Managed Services Master certification is attainable for partners who have sophisticated managed services practices and deliver services reflecting the best customer experiences.

Cisco Managed Services Master Partners may also apply for one or more Cisco Powered managed services designation for a particular service, indicating that the service has met the highest Cisco user-experience standards. Partners with a service that qualifies for a Cisco Powered designation are entitled to an additional payment on the purchase of Cisco Powered products, except as restricted, and can market the service using the Cisco Powered logo with descriptive text.

Managed Services Master partners demonstrate these capabilities supporting a minimum of 10 customers; validated through an independent, third-party audit.

To achieve the Managed Services-Master certification, you must:

  • Have a network operations center (NOC), serving at least 10 unique customers
  • Have at least one ITIL® Foundation trained full-time employee
  • Have a minimum of two Cisco CCIE® certified experts employed full-time by your company
  • Have at least two Cisco-based managed service offerings
  • Pass an independent third-party audit of capabilities

Partners that achieve MS-Master status may also apply for a Cisco Powered managed services designation for a particular service. Services that earn this designation meet or exceed high Cisco user-experience standards as reviewed and validated by a third-party audit. Partners with a service that qualifies for a Cisco Powered designation are entitled to a rebate on the purchase of Cisco Powered products, except as restricted, and can market the service using the Cisco Powered logo with descriptive text. They are also invited to join the Managed Services Community, where they receive the highest level of go-to-market benefits from Cisco. Cisco Powered managed service designation requirements can be found here, located on the Managed Services tab in the Managed Services Portfolio: Requirements document.

MS-Master recognizes the highest level of achievement for partners delivering Cisco technologies as a managed solution. In addition to escalating rewards in the form of discounts and rebates on customer equipment, partners are invited to join the managed services community for access to resources that can help you envision, build, market, and sell managed services.

The Managed Services Community is open to all registered Cisco partners. The community is a web portal with resources that help with all steps of the service lifecycle from service creation, to building and operating a managed service, to marketing and selling the service. Employees of companies that participate in the Managed Services Channel Program at the Express, Advanced, or Master level are automatically entitled to participate once they have registered as users. Registered partners with an interest in managed services may also apply to join the Managed Services Community.

Managed Services Master partners receive the highest level of benefits on the Managed Services Community portal, such as:

  • Cisco Powered logo assets, as appropriate
  • Joint success story opportunities
  • Press release opportunities with Cisco
  • Co-marketing opportunities at select industry events
  • Premium positioning on the partner locator search tool
