The firmware image within the installation program is named CP7925G-1.4.7.3.LOADS and supports the Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) for the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G and 7925G-EX.
This firmware version is supported on Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Release 5.1 and later, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CUCME) Release 4.3 and later.

2. In the Find Device box, enter 7925.
3. Click the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G link.
4. Click the Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) Software link.
5. To view all available versions, click Expand all.

7. Download the Cisco 7925 firmware installer for your Cisco Unified Communications Manager version, referencing the table below.

8. Install the firmware according to your Cisco Unified Communications Manager release.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager Version 5.1 and later
1. Using your web browser, log in to the Cisco Unified OS Administration web page.
2. Under the Software Upgrades menu, select Install/Upgrade.
3. In the Software Location section, fill in the appropriate values for the file that you downloaded above, and click Next.
4. In the Options/Upgrades drop-down box, select the file you downloaded above, and click Next.
Note: Prior to CUCM 6.0, the drop-down box is referred to as Available Software.
5. After validating that the MD5 hash value is correct, click Next.
6. Verify that the installation was successful.
7. To install another file, click New Install (CUCM 5.1) or Install Another (CUCM 6.0 and later) and repeat steps 3 - 7.
8. Restart the TFTP server
a. From the Navigation drop-down menu, select Cisco Unified CallManager Serviceability (CUCM 5.1) or Cisco Unified Serviceability (CUCM 6.0 and later) and click Go.
b. Under the Tools
menu, select Control Center - Feature Services.
c. In the Server drop-down box, select the server where the
firmware was installed.
d. Click the Cisco Tftp service radio button.
e. Click the Restart button or icon.
9. Reset the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G or 7925G-EX to upgrade the firmware.
a. From the Navigation drop-down menu, select Cisco Unified CallManager Administration (CUCM 5.1) or Cisco Unified CM Administration (CUCM 6.0 and later) and click Go.
b. Under Device menu, select Phone.
c. Click Find to list all the devices.
d. Select the Cisco 7925 wireless IP phones to reset, then click Reset
Selected button or icon.
e. In the Device Reset pop-up window, click Reset.
Note: To improve software integrity protection, new public keys are used to sign COP files for Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 10.0.1 and later. These COP files have "k3" in their name. To install a k3 COP file on a pre-10.0.1 Cisco Unified Communications Manager, consult the README for the ciscocm.version3-keys.cop.sgn to determine if this additional COP file must first be installed on your specific Cisco Unified Communications Manager version. If these keys are not present and are required, you will see the error "The selected file is not valid" when you try to install the software package.

1. Extract files from the ZIP image and manually copy them to TFTP server (router flash), and enable them for TFTP.

2. For the 7925G device type, set the load type to CP7925G-1.4.7.3.LOADS.

Cisco Unified Communications Manager Version 5.1 and later
1. Using your web browser, log in to the Cisco Unified CM Administration web page.
2. Under the Device menu, select Device Settings > Device Defaults.
3. Verify that the new firmware image name is listed in the Load Information field for the Cisco 7925 SCCP wireless IP phone.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express Version 4.3 and later
1. Use the show flash command to learn the filenames associated with the Cisco 7925 SCCP wireless IP phone firmware.
2. Use the show ephone phone-load command to verify that the Cisco 7925 SCCP wireless IP phone firmware that is installed on a particular ephone.
The Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G or 7925G-EX firmware can be upgraded without a Cisco Unified Communications Manager, using a USB connection or WLAN.
Follow the instructions below to upgrade your phone firmware using a USB or WLAN connection.

8. In the Release Information row, click the Readme link to download the installation instructions and follow them to install the USB driver for the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G and 7925G-EX.
9. Go back to the above URL then click the Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) Software link.
10. To view all available versions, click Expand all.
11. Click the 1.4(7) version.
12. Download CP7925G-1.4.7.3.TAR to your hard drive.
13. Open a browser and enter the IP address of the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G or 7925G-EX (e.g. https://192.168.1.100).
14. Log in to the web pages with username: admin and enter the password: Cisco.
15. Click the Phone Upgrade hyperlink under SYSTEM options.
16. To locate the TAR file you had downloaded, enter the TAR file name or use Browse button.
17. Click Upload.
18. When the upload has completed, the message Uploaded image successfully. Rebooting phone. is displayed.
