README DMM-patch-CSCty22538.iso (c) Cisco Systems, Inc., 2012 Last Revised: February 24, 2012 Communication can fail between Cisco Digital Media Manager (DMM) and its inventory of Cisco Digital Media Players (DMPs). However, applying the hotfix to your DMM server should prevent (or recover from) this failure in 10 minutes or less. In an affected deployment, error messages indicate that digital certificate expiration is the root cause. NOTE: Because the certificate expired, you can no longer use the “File Transfer to DMP” advanced task in DMM. Please use DMS-CD, instead. See CSCty23792 in Bug Toolkit on Cisco.com. BEFORE YOU BEGIN! • If your DMM appliance is part of a high-availability cluster, STOP NOW. Open a case with Cisco TAC to have the hotfix installed for you.
