Cisco® USB-C cables provide flexibility, high-speed data transmission, excellent signal quality, and pleasing aesthetics in any meeting room and workspace, enabling hassle-free USB pass-through, display extension, and content sharing.
Cisco USB-C cables can connect a wide range of laptops with a Webex® video collaboration device without having to use multiple dongles or cables. They help to remove the clutter from a home office workstation, a hot desk, or a meeting room with a sleek single-cable design while ensuring high quality and speed of the signal.
Simply connect Webex Desk Series, Board Series, and Room Series devices to your laptop via USB-C to extend your display. You can also use the camera, microphone, and speakers of your video endpoint to join any third-party meeting service, share content on your Webex device, or use touch-redirect capabilities on supported operating systems.
Cisco offers two USB-C–type cable models delivering powerful resolution capability and high speed to help you easily connect laptops to Webex video devices:
● The Cisco USB-C Cable 1.8m supports powerful USB connectivity and was designed to provide effortless video collaboration over a single USB-C cable, best suited for the Webex Desk Series. Connecting a laptop with USB-C enables you to extend your display; join meetings from third-party meeting providers while leveraging the camera, speaker, and microphone of your Webex device; extend the functionality of your laptop with touch redirect that allows for touch-based PC control; and charge your laptop.
● The Cisco USB-C Optical Cable 9m is an active USB type-C cable using optical fiber that can transmit USB 2.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1, and 2-lane DP 1.4 data with excellent signal quality at high speed, best suited for use with the Webex Board and Webex Room Series. This slim, light, and highly resistant cable provides reliable connection in your mid-to-large meeting rooms. With 9m length, the cable enables you to reach to the far end of medium-to-large meeting spaces while providing single-cable touch-redirect connection, transforming your laptop into a board-size tablet or an immersive room system. Leverage the meetings software of choice while taking advantage of the camera, microphones, and speakers of your video device, extending your display, and charging your laptop while connected.
