INTRODUCTION
This Product Bulletin covers the issues associated with the End-of-Sale of Cisco
® Packet Over SONET (POSIP) Model 20 product series.
The last order date for these products is July 26, 1997. Last order date has been expedited with the recent price reduction of the existing POSIP-40 product series. The POSIP-40 family is a form, fit, and function replacement for the POSIP-20 product family. Information about products affected by this announcement, product availability, maintenance, and product substitutions are included.
RATIONALE
POSIP-20 product family has entered End-of-Sale with the recent price reduction of the POSIP-40 product family. Please review the Pricing Alert for additional details.
The last order date for POSIP-20 products is quick since the POSIP-40 is a direct replacement for the POSIP-20 at a lower price point with additional memory and increased services.
