Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco 5506 appliances and licenses with FTD software. This notification does NOT apply to ASA5506 appliances with ASA software, which continue to be orderable with no changes. The last day to order the affected product(s) is July 30, 2019. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available under the terms and conditions of customers' service contract.
Please note: ASA5506 appliances w/ Cisco ASA Software alone are not part of this EOL announcement and would continue to sell as usual. See Product Migration for more information.

Product Migration Options
Cisco recommends Firepower 1010 appliance as a replacement for ASA5506 running Firepower Threat Defense or Firepower Services SW. FPR1010 w/ Firepower Threat Defense SW would be orderable early June, 2019 time frame. Firepower 1010 runs on Cisco’s Firepower Threat Defense software 6.4 & above and provides significantly higher performance than ASA5506. More information on FPR1010 performance would be available in the data sheets by early June, 2019. Customers may be able to use the Cisco Technology Migration Program (TMP) where applicable to trade-in eligible products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment.
