The family of multipurpose MIX-Enabled port adapters is a highly integrated solution offering a leap forward in integrating voice and data on the same T1/E1 interface without the need for an external time-division multiplexing (TDM) device. These single-width port adapters incorporate two, four and eight ports configurable for either T1 or E1 connection that can be configured as voice, data, or both, depending on the application requirements. Integrated channel service units/digital service units (CSU/DSUs), MIX support, and DS0 drop and insert functionality eliminate the need for external line termination devices and multiplexers simplifying network design and management. The family consists of three members, two, four and eight MIX-Enabled Port Adapters. The family members offer the same industry leading feature set and performance. The cards differ only in the number of physical interfaces supported. One can choose the solution that best meets the network's scalability requirements without worrying about differences in features.
