Introduction

This document describes how to obtain and install Cisco Intelligent Automation for Cloud 3.1 Hotfix 1 (Tidal Enterprise Orchestrator Release 2.3.4 HotFix 8). This hotfix is mandatory for all Cisco Intelligent Automation for Cloud (IAC) version 3.1 environments that experience problems with failure to delete test Virtual Machines (VMs) created for Platform Element validation.

Solution

In order to download and install the hotfix, complete these steps:

  1. Download the TEO2.3.4Hotfix8.zip file from the Cisco Tidal Enterprise Orchestrator Base Product Release 2.3.4 Software Downloads page. You can navigate to this page by pointing your browser to http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/navigator.html. Then, choose Products > Network Management and Automation > Data Center Management and Automation > Process Automation > Cisco Process Orchestrator > Cisco Tidal Enterprise Orchestrator > Cisco Tidal Enterprise Orchestrator Base Product > Cisco Tidal Enterprise Orchestrator Hotfix.

  2. Create a backup of the TEO Process database before you install the hotfix.

    Note: Install the hotfix with the help of Cisco Technical Support. This hotfix is intended to address this specific issue only. You should apply it only when your installed environment experiences this specific problem.

  3. In order to install the hotfix, navigate to the installation directory and then double-click setup.exe. The installer will display the Automation Pack Import wizard.

  4. Choose Intelligent Automation for Cloud.

  5. If you run CIAC 3.1, contact Cisco Technical Support for instructions on how to clean up data stores that have VMs created by the Platform Element validation process.
