Introduction
This document describes the required permissions to run any of the following script activities.
- Execute Windows Command
- Execute Windows Script
- Execute Windows PowerShell Script
Prerequisites
Components Used
The information in this document is based on Cisco Process Orchestrator 3.5.1 + Patch 6 or later.
Problem
Run any of the script activities (mentioned above) locally on Cisco Process Orchestrator server machine results in access denied error.
The script activities can also result in an error that states "failed to execute script: A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated."
Solution
Make sure the Windows User account, used to the run the script has proper permissions. They should be a member of any of the following local user groups.
- Backup Operators
- Power Users
- Administrators
After that check under Local Security Poliy -> Local Policies -> Security Options. Make sure the following policy is Disabled: Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication.
