You see an X appear over your database in the Transaction Analyzer console or the Transaction Analyzer service does not start and logs a report of a bad username or password.
Complete these steps:
Open the TA console, right-click on the database icon in the left hand pane, and choose Delete.
Click Yes on the confirmation.
Choose File > Add TA database.
Click Next. Input your new username and password and make sure the server name is the database server where the TA database resides.
A pop-up window alerts you that a TA database already exists. Click Yes if you want to use that DB.
Another pop-up window alerts you that there are orphaned systems from that DB, and click Yes if you want to associate them to the new DB.
Click Skip on the Report Settings Dialog and click Cancel on the Discovered SAP Systems Dialog.
Restart the TA Service.
