A. Make sure that the background for video calls is uncluttered. Avoid curtains, windows or doors, or distracting artwork in the background. Consider that those in a meeting room will be facing the screen as well as each other when they speak.
Lighting should be even and bright. A common problem is when someone is sitting between the system and a windown; often the person becomes just a dark shadow. Another common problem is the use of spot lighting, which causes shadows on the face. You can improve lighting by having a ligh colored, but not bright, walls (light blue is ideal), covering any windows with curtains, and ensuring that the source of any lighting is out of the picture shot.
