This article relates to Cisco TelePresence Management Suite.
A. To make calls to an ISDN number, from a system with its own ISDN connection, TMS must know the systems (endpoints and/or MCUs) has ISDN bandwidth. If the system does not have its own ISDN connection, TMS must know a gateway prefix to use and that the system can use the gateway.
If the system has its own ISDN connection, ensure the system has ISDN bandwidth for the requesting system. In TMS, got to Systems > Navigator. Select the system and then click the Settings tab and scroll down to Call Settings. Maximum ISDN Bandwidth must be greater than 0.
If the system does not have ISDN itself, check that the system is registered to a gatekeeper and the IP zone associated to the system has a Gateway Prefix defined. In TMS, go to Systems > Navigator, select the system. Click the Settings tab and scroll down to Network Settings. Check that the system is registered to a Gatekeeper and Gatekeeper Registration Status is Registered. If Gatekeeper status is not registered, TMS will not offer call routes to aliases or prefixes, only direct IP Address dialing for H.323.
Check IP Zone configuration
To find out whether TMS can offer H.323 to ISDN calls:
Go to Systems > Navigator > Select the system, and click the Settings tab.
Under General, note which IP Zone is associated to the system.
Under Administrative Tools > Locations > IP Zones select the IP Zone that's associated to the system and use the drop-down menu and select View.
Gateway Auto prefix is used for H.323 Video Calls.
Gateway Telephone Prefix is used for telephone calls.Note: If no prefix is defined, TMS will not offer H.323 to ISDN calls for systems associated with this IP Zone.
When attempting a call using Scheduling, the TMS Scheduling Settings of each system are also taken into account. Each system has an allow permission for incoming calls and outgoing calls for each call protocol. TMS will not offer a call route if the allow permission is not granted for the call direction requested from each endpoint in the call.
To see the TMS Scheduling Settings for your system, go to Systems > Navigator, select the system, click the Settings tab and scroll down to TMS Scheduling Settings.
