Q. Why doesn't TMS book the first conference on the MCU when it is available?

A. TMS booking of conferences on an MCU is based not on first to last, but based on a 'Most Available' algorithm. To ensure that users have the best opportunity to extend a meeting without conflicting with another scheduled meeting, TMS does a look ahead and look behind search when determining which conference port to reserve for a meeting and will pick the conference number with the best availability in those time windows.

This gives users the most opportunity to extend ongoing conferences without worry of conflicting with another reservation waiting for their conference number.
