The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. Learn more about how Cisco is using Inclusive Language.
This document describes how the Cisco Customer Voice Portal (CVP) Error Call flow works.
Cisco recommends that you have knowledge of these topics:
The information in this document is based on these software versions:
The information in this document was created from the devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, ensure that you understand the potential impact of any command.
When Survivability service is not enabled in CUBE or Ingress Gateway, the CVP Error flow invokes a cvperror.tcl configured either in the Ingress Gateway/CUBE or VXML Gateway/CVVB. This Tool Command Language (TCL) is triggered when a 92929292 label generated by CVP is sent to the Ingress Gateway/CUBE in a SIP 302 Moved Temporarily or SIP REFER message.
SIP REFER is only performed when CVP has already answered the call. CVP does a redirect when the call hasn’t been answered. In this case, it sends a 302 Moved Temporarily to the intiator of the call ( Ingress Gateway/CUBE ), which includes a redirect destination in the contact header.
Regardless of SIP REFER or 302 Moved Temporarily message, the main task of cvperror.tcl script is to play a critical error message stored in flash on the Ingress Gateway/CUBE or VXML Gateway/CVVB.
Call flow:
Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN)
Phone 4008 Dials 98041 ------ PSTN (CUCM)------SIP-----CVP-----ICM----- (ICM is down)
Survivability is not enabled in CUBE
In CVP dial plan the 929292 label points to CUBE, as shown in the image.

Same behavior as Scenarion 2, since the supplementary-service sip moved-temporarily is disabled in the gateway, 302 Moved Temporarily message is not supported, and an internal error is reported to CVP by the Gateway.
In CVP dial plan the 929292 label points to CVVB as shown in the image.

At this moment the PSTN must sent a SIP Invite to the CVVB, since there is no SIP trunk between the PSTN and the CVVB,
the critical error message is not played and the call disconnects.
In this scenario since the supplementary-service sip moved-temporarily is enabled by default, the gateway forward the call to the originator, in this case the PSTN (in the lab, CUCM). However, since the PSTN does not have a SIP trunk to the CVVB, the critical error message does not play and the call disconnects.
In conclusion, the 929292 error label must be configured and controled by the Gateway. It is not relevant what you have configured in the session target on the 929292 Inbound dial-peer in the Gateway/CUBE, since this dial-peer is not used for any outbound call leg.
