Prerequisites
Requirements
Cisco recommends that you have knowledge of these topics:
- CVP Operations Console (OAMP)
- CVP Configuration
Components Used
The information in this document is based on these software versions:
- CVP OAMP 10.0 and higher
- CVP Server 10.0 and higher
Problem
You are unable to open OAMP from the web browser interface and OAMP console does not run.
The only way to solve the issue is to rebuild OAMP Server.
Solution
This solution can be applied in scenarios when you do not have a OAMP backup.
There are equivalent steps to export and import back OAMP configuration. You can then redeploy all of your devices from OAMP as usual, after the import is done.
In order to export and restore OAMP configuration, follow these steps:
Step 1. Stop OAMP Service.
Step 2. Backup the current CVP DB configurations database. For example: C:\Cisco\CVP\OPSConsoleServer\sql\* outside of C:\cisco\cvp.
Step 3. Rebuild OAMP Server.
Step 4. Once installed, you can stop the OAMP service and replace C:\Cisco\CVP\OPSConsoleServer\sql\db\* contents with the ones previously backed up, ensure to include the log folder.
Step 5. Start OAMP service
Consider that in terms of data files, C:\Cisco\CVP\OPSConsoleServer\sql\db\seg0 holds the configuration.
