The version of the Controller board listed above was recently introduced containing a software change.
The Software change caused an issue where upon loss of AC power to a single rectifier in a redundant system, no system alarms are generated, and the AC/DC panel status LEDs fail to indicate the condition. The controller and rectifier do recognize the condition.
This only affects alarming. It does not affect the power system.
A customer reported that their alarms were not working properly when one of the AC power feeds was removed from a redundant power system.
This issue was introduced during a recent cost reduction activity, when a new revision of software was implemented.
The system fails to generate an AC Failure Alarm when a single AC power feed is removed from the shelf assembly. The AC/DC panel status LEDs will also fail to indicate the condition.
There is no workaround for this issue.
Cisco recommends a fix-on-fail strategy for this problem.
Service Logistics has known-good inventory at this time.
The standard RMA process and delivery times are in effect.
