Cisco found out that ASR 903 interface modules A900-IMA8S, A900-IMA8T, A900-IMA4OS, and A900-IMA1X that shipped between April 1, 2014 and August 31, 2014 are not backward compatible with previous Cisco IOS XE Software Releases 3.5.x, 3.6.x, 3.7.x, and 3.12.0.
Cisco recommends that customers upgrade to the extended Cisco IOS XE Software Release 3.10.x or 3.13.x.Cisco found an issue with the authentication device used in the ASR 903 interface modules A900-IMA8S, A900-IMA8T, A900-IMA4OS, and A900-IMA1X that were shipped between April and August 2014.
This component is not downward compatible with Cisco IOS XE Software Releases 3.5.x, 3.6.x, 3.7.x, and 3.12.0.The impacted interface modules will not power up with Cisco IOS XE Software Releases 3.5.x, 3.6.x, 3.7.x, and 3.12.0.
Cisco recommends to upgrade to the recommended Cisco IOS XE Software Release listed in this table based on your current Cisco IOS XE Software Release.
