The client applications that are listed in the Products Affected section are impacted only when configured for integration with the Cisco WebEx service. The client applications that are not configured for integration with the Cisco WebEx service are not impacted.
Cisco WebEx implements security changes that impact the affected applications. After the update, the applications that are older than the minimum version do not function properly.
Cisco WebEx will implement the security updates on these dates:
Cisco is committed to the security of all Cisco services and continues to provide timely security enhancements, which include those that are required to meet client downloads and/or updates to Cisco applications and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Furthermore, Cisco strives to minimize the business impact to its valued customers when possible and provides advanced notifications that include time to align with any required updates.
Cisco intends to maintain a vigilant approach towards the safety and security maintenance of its Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings. Customers can expect future security enhancements to be delivered as often as deemed necessary.
Basic functionality, such as attempts to schedule, start, or join meetings, will be affected for applications that are not updated prior to the dates listed in the Problem Description section of this notice.
No action is required for client applications that are not integrated with the Cisco WebEx service, as the security updates will have no impact.
For client applications that are integrated with the WebEx service, upgrade to the minimum version prior to the deadline.
Note: If you are a T29 customer, then you must update your clients prior to June 5, 2015. If you are a T28 customer, then you must update your clients prior to July 31, 2015.
