Some Catalyst 3850 switches might log power device detected/removed log messages when there is no device connected. The logs might appear continuously.
Cisco has determined there is no functionality impact due to this issue.
Devices will continue to operate correctly when connected to the switch ports.
Products which can be affected by this issue are listed in the "Products Affected" field AND serial number range given below:
See the "How To Identify Affected Products" section in order to determine if a particular switch is affected. This issue is seen across all supported software releases.
These messages might be seen continuously on the screen.
Multiple downlink ports on PoE/uPoE switches in the network might log these messages on the console or buffer based on the customer configuration.

Option 1
Disable logging for level 5 and higher.

Option 2
Disable inline-power log events. Switch(config)# interface range Gigabit/0/1 - <#of ports>, Gigabit/0/1 - <#of ports>, ... Switch(config)#no logging event power-inline-status
Option 1 OR 2 can be used pending a permanent fix in a future software release.
