CSCvd90400 | Unexpected reload due to memory leak on FPR4100 and 9300 FXOS platforms |
The Cisco Firepower 4100 and 9300 Series Security Platforms (FPR4100 and FPR9300) that run the affected Firepower eXtensible Operating System (FXOS) software versions reboot after approximately 210 days of uptime.
The issue that is described in this Field Notice (FN) is related to a memory leak in the FXOS software that causes the affected FPR4100 and FPR9300 platforms to reboot after approximately 210 days of uptime.
The affected platforms reboot due to a Kernel Panic after approximately 210 days of uptime. After the reboot, you can enter the show system reset-reason command into the CLI in order to confirm the Kernel Panic.

Cisco recommends that you upgrade the FXOS software in order to resolve the reboot issue for the affected units.
Customers that have a valid service contract can download updated FXOS software versions that address this issue from Cisco Software Central.
