Problem Description

Evolved Programmable Network Manager (EPNM) versions earlier than 2.2.2 can experience missing Geo Map tiles in the Geo Topology Map, which prevents the user from seeing the actual geographical map tiles.

Background

Online Geo Map uses tiles which come from Mapbox. Due to changes in Mapbox, a third party supplier, the problem documented in the Problem Description section might be encountered.

Problem Symptom

The user will not see map tiles when using the Geographical Map feature.

Workaround/Solution

In order to fix this issue, complete these steps:

1. From the EPNM menu, choose Administration > System Settings.
2. Choose Maps > Network Topology.

   

3. In the Map Provider drop-down list, choose Custom.

   

4. In the Map Source URL field, type the URL provided by the Technical Assistance Center (TAC). The user will have to contact the TAC in order to obtain the correct URL to enter in this field.

    

   

5. Save your changes.
6. Choose Maps > Network Topology > Geo Map.

   

7. Ensure that you can see Geo Tiles.

How To Identify Affected Products

The current software version can be found via the CLI or the EPNM web interface.

CLI

From the CLI, enter the show version command:

mas-tardis/admin# show version

Web Interface

From the web interface, complete these steps:

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of the web interface.
2. Choose About Cisco EPN Manager in order to display the build version.
