CSCvy87156 | Join Webex meeting from Jabber has been impacted due to a CA issuance from trusted chain impacted. |
If you use Jabber to join Webex Meetings and your users have configured the Webex Meeting site in Jabber App, joining meetings from the Jabber client will fail.
The current SSL certificate used in the Jabber client will be valid and fail to connect to Cisco Cloud.
There was an industry-wide issue affecting the revocation abilities of specific Certificate Authorities(CA) recently. Cisco has identified that a CA in our trust chain on Webex Cloud has been impacted, and in the next few months, new issuance from this CA will cease.
Because of this SSL certificate upgrade, if you use Jabber to join Webex meetings, and your users have configured the Webex Meeting site in Jabber App, it will fail to join the Webex Meeting.
Impacted Jabber clients:
Cisco Jabber for Windows and Mac version 12.7, 12.8, 12.9, 14.0
Note: Customers who do not join Webex Meetings from the Jabber client are not impacted.
Please upgrade your Jabber clients to the versions below or later versions:
Cisco Jabber Windows 12.7.5, 12.8.6, 12.9.6, 14.0.1
Cisco Jabber for Mac 12.9.7, 14.0.2

Please complete the upgrade before August 31st, 2021; otherwise, you will see an error while joining a Webex meeting from the Cisco Jabber client.
