CSCvz09405 SWManager: End of Linux 5 Support

Problem Description

Linux 5 support will be removed from the BroadWorks Software Manager (SWManager).

Background

As Linux 5 is End-of-Life (EOL) and no longer maintained, the SWManager for BroadWorks will no longer support this operating system (OS) version.

Problem Symptom

SWManager Revision 980947 released on 2021-06-11 is the last version to support Linux 5. SWManager releases after Revision 980947 will fail to install and upgrade on Linux 5.

Note: Linux 5 is no longer supported on any Cisco BroadWorks server since Releases 24.0 and 2020.07. See section 8.2 - Linux Operating System in the BroadWorks Release Notes for more information.

Workaround/Solution

Customers should upgrade Linux to Version 6 or 7.
