Problem Description

The Cisco Security Manager (CSM) that provides centralized management and configuration for Adaptive Security Appliances (ASAs) might not be able to perform automatic software downloads of ASA and AnyConnect software after June 30, 2022.

Background

The CSM application supports automatic downloads of ASA and AnyConnect software images from the Image Manager UI. The source location URL for the ASA and AnyConnect images will change after June 30, 2022 and might cause the automatic software downloads to fail.

Problem Symptom

The Image Manager UI will be unable to download ASA and AnyConnect images after June 30, 2022.

Workaround/Solution

Workaround

Manually download the ASA and AnyConnect software from the Cisco Software Download Center and copy the software to the CSM repository for Image Upgrade.

Solution

Cisco recommends to upgrade CSM to Software Version 4.25 or later before June 30, 2022 in order to maintain automatic software download functionality.
