CSCwe08918 | Removing AP.xsp.23.0.1075.ap381781 breaks config.xml / config agent. |
The removal of the AP.xsp.23.0.1075.ap381781 patch leaves the server in a faulty state. The server is unable to start because ConfigAgent has a corrupted configuration.
This issue was found in a customer's lab, where it was recommended to remove these patches:
Removal of the suggested patches also required removal of the AP.xsp.23.0.1075.ap381781 patch. This corrupted the ConfigAgent's configuration and left the server in a state where it was unable to start.
The faulty patch AP.xsp.23.0.1075.ap381781 has been recalled.
On the restart after the patch removal, the server will not start and displays this message:
Starting ConfigAgent... [done] Starting SnmpAgent... [failed] Starting LicenseManager... [done] --> Starting BroadWorks <-- Starting [failed]
This output can be seen in the configdOutput*.log
file.
cvc-complex-type.2.4.a: Invalid content was found starting with element 'xsiVTRXSTAS'. One of '{"http://schema.broadsoft.com/broadworksConfig":webapp}' is expected.
In order to resolve this issue, customers should remove the faulty patch, and then download and run the newly released version.
A new version of the patch has been published on Cisco Software Central:
