Some Cisco Firepower 1010E security appliances shipped with the incorrect power cord.
The external power supply for Cisco Firepower 1010E security appliance was changed from 115W to a 66W design in July 2024. The 115W power supply uses a C5 type power cord and the 66W power supply uses a C13 type power cord. Some 66W power supplies shipped with the incorrect C5 type power cord.
Cisco Secure Firepower 1010E security appliances with incorrect C5 type power cords shipped from Cisco in July and August of 2024.
The C5 type power cord will not connect to the external 66W power supply.
Solution
Cisco recommends replacing the affected FPR1010E power cords by requesting a Return Material Authorization (RMA). The incorrect power cord should be retained or recycled.
The replacement C13 type power cord for your country or region can be found in the Power Cord Specifications section of the Cisco Firepower 1010 Series Hardware Installation Guide.
The serial number for Cisco Firepower 1010E security appliance can be found on the sales order, packaging label, or on the bottom surface of the chassis.

Cisco provides the Serial Number Validation Tool to verify whether a device is impacted by this issue. To check the device, enter the serial number in the Serial Number Validation Tool.
