Following an upgrade to Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software Release 9.18.4.24, the security appliance may not be able to save the configuration file.
The issue affects all Cisco security appliances that are running Cisco ASA Software Release 9.18.4.24 after a software upgrade from another release.
The symptom appears after saving the configuration using the write memory or copy run start commands with the following error message:

Solution
To fix the issue that is described in this field notice, upgrade to a Cisco ASA Software release other than Release 9.18.4.24, which is affected.
